WORLD HORROR CONVENTION 2007 TWILIGHT TALES READING CAFÉ
Get ready for something different . . .

Twilight Tales Reading Series is proud to present the Twilight Tales Reading Café at the World Horror Convention 2007 in Toronto, Canada.

In Chicago, the readings at Twilight Tales are conducted in the upstairs of an authentic English pub, The Red Lion. We believe that the laid-back, friendly and convivial atmosphere of the pub is a perfect venue for the telling of wonderful stories.

With that in mind, we are delighted to be bringing a little of that experience to Toronto. It is planned that The Twilight Tales Reading Café will recreate that "show" atmosphere: subdued lighting, tea candles on the tables, cabaret-style seating, and for those of you who like to imbibe—and you know who you are—your favourite alcoholic beverage will be available from the mobile bar, situated right outside the door in the convention lobby.

We will be scheduling individual readings (including our Guests of Honour), multi-author readings, and small-press book debuts. There will also be a period of time in the schedule set aside exclusively for poets to share their work as well.

Each author will be introduced by one of our emcees, who are there also to help sell books and solve problems. The team of emcees will include Martel Sardina, Eric Cherry, Jude Waltermire, Claire Cooney, Craig Patton, Mike Penkas, Bill Breedlove, and Tina Jens.

Our goal is to capitalize on the incredible breadth and scope of talent that perennially attends World Horror Convention. We are aiming for quality entertainment in a quality environment with a quality audience.

NEW PROGRAM EVENT! CRITIQUED OPEN MIC—Saturday 7-9 PM (opposite the Stoker Awards banquet)

Hosted by Eric Cherry. Four lucky authors will have 20 minutes to read, followed by a 10 minute critique session by the audience and moderator. Authors will be selected by random drawing during the event.

TWILIGHT TALES PRESENTS: THE "FLASH FICTION" CONTEST

Following the presentation of the Bram Stoker Awards on the Saturday evening, from 11:00pm until closing TWILIGHT TALES will once again be hosting the "Flash Fiction" Contest, your chance to "read like a . . ."

One author.

One story.

Five minutes.

Hosted by Bill Breedlove, the best blazingly short stories will be voted on by a celebrity judging panel, who in past years have included Ellen Datlow, Peter Straub, F. Paul Wilson, Michael Slade and many others.

Amazing prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place—including gift certificates from Shocklines and Inhuman Magazine— plus all three stories will be published on the TWILIGHT TALES website.

Sign-up at the door -- arrive early, space is limited!!!!

Thanks, and see you all in Toronto!
