April Fools info for our Russian friends
WHC 2006 feels compelled to inform everyone coming to this site that our announcement of Uwe Boll as a guest of honor was an April Fool's Joke. We particularly apologize to our friends coming here from Russia, where there seems to be a huge contingent of Uwe Boll fans, much to our chagrin. At first we thought it was another April Fools prank being played on us, but it seems to be true -- there are rabid fans of Uwe Boll out there!
Don't worry, someday he'll be invited to a convention, folks!

Uwe Boll Added to Guest of Honor Lineup!
The World Horror Convention of 2006 is please to announce our final Guest of Honor, Mr. Uwe Boll.

With the loss of Clive Barker as our media guest of honor, the committee decided that we should try to find a suitable replacement. This is not an easy task to accomplish, but we made our decisions based on both longevity and recent work. We nailed down our final guest yesterday. Mr. Boll's film credits are lengthy, and include
Blackwood,
Heart of America,
Alone in the Dark,
House of the Dead, and
Bloodrayne. He is currently in pre-production on not one but THREE movies, and has taken time out of his busy schedule to appear at the World Horror Convention!
Mr. Boll has graciously offered us a two hour long seminar on how to make movies, which is being made part of our schedule immediately. Subjects covered will include video game movie basics and raising funds to make movies when you really don't know what you're doing. Mr. Boll is argulably the expert in both of these areas if nothing else.
Congratulations to Mr. Boll on his guest of honor position!
